Be Steadwell- Finding Identity in Pop and Soul

October 8

Junior Clarielle Marsh, event organizer, invites you to come and enjoy a night of unique Pop & Soul. D.C. singer/songwriter Be Steadwell will be on campus in October to perform some of her original musical selections that shine light on the experiences of queer people of color and people with silenced struggles. Utilizing loop pedal vocal layering and beat boxing, Be Steadwell creates evocative songs that speak to universal experiences of love, heartbreak, and fun, while also capturing the intersectionality of identity and its place in artistic expression. Stay for a casual Q&A as she discusses her creative process and motivations after the performance.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, 10/8 at 7PM in Scales M201
