Benjamin Franklin – Christopher Lowell Residency

Critically-acclaimed performer, Christopher Lowell, portrayed Benjamin Franklin in a free, one-man show on Tuesday, October 4th, at 7pm. The performance took place in the Kulynych Auditorium in the Byrum Welcome Center.
Following the performance, there was a panel discussion with Suzanne Reynolds, Dean of the Law School, and David Coates, Worrell Professor of Anglo-American Studies, moderated by Sharon Andrews, Associate Professor of Theatre.
In his IPLACe-sponsored visit, Mr. Lowell also facilitated conversations in various classroom visits, including Michele Gillespie’s FYS on Thomas Jefferson, a French class, and a directing class. Additionally, he gave a talk after the Anthony Aston Players’ weekly meeting in Theatre.
